Rectangular roof

Our house's roof is rectangular. When it rains, the water drains through the gutter. How much water flowed from our roof during a storm when we know that 12 liters of water fell on every 1 m2 of surface?

The roof width is 6m, the length is 9m, and the slope of the roof plane is 37°.

Correct answer:

V =  517.5 l

Step-by-step explanation:

Q1=12 l/m2  a=6 m b=9 m α=37   S1=a b=6 9=54 m2 cos α  = b2:b  b2=b cosα=b cos37° =9 cos37° =9 0.798636=7.18772 m S2=a b2=6 7.187743.1263 m2  V=S2 Q1=43.1263 12=517.5 l
